Meet Ember Orion

Ember Orion (they/them) is the founder and sole proprietor of As Is Consulting. They are a Northwest Arkansas native, having lived here for over 17 years. They currently live in Bentonville with their son, two cats, and a completely normal amount of houseplants.

Ember has over a decade of experience in Human Resources and has been certified through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP) since January 2022. They have also been practicing mindfulness meditation and studying positive psychology for over five years and received their certification in Mindfulness Meditation Teaching through Dharma Moon & Tibet House in January 2023.

Ember previously served as the board president for a non-profit called The Transgender Equality Network, and they currently serve as the HR and Administration Director for INTERFORM, another local non-profit. Ember remains passionate about intersectional advocacy, holistic wellness, and community-informed education, which is evident in their work as a wellness consultant, public speaker, and HR professional.

As a healing trauma survivor and a transgender individual who has learned to thrive through adversity (including diagnoses such as autism/ADHD and complex PTSD), Ember has also acquired a unique skillset that allows them to provide an extremely empathetic and trauma-informed approach to their clients' challenges. This skillset heavily informs their holistic HR and Wellness Consulting services, guiding teams and individuals towards a joyful and fulfilling life and career now, not later.
